gear box/bag - give each child one for all their sporting gear of the current season. If you/they keep it all together then you won't get the "mom where is my...." and end up stopping at the store on the way to practice or the game to pick up a new one. Organization saves time and money.

gold - if you have any earring backs, rings, necklesses, etc that you don't wear/use you can sell it for a high price right now. It gets melted down to be reused and you get the profit.

granola - make your own mix instead of buying it premade. you get what you want in it, so no wasting. Plus it is cheaper.

grapes - buy in season in bulk and freeze - what a great snack on a hot day!

gratuity - don't feel like you have to give 15-20% on a restaurant bill - if the service was below average then reflect it in the tip. Also if you eat at an upscale restaurant, don't feel like you have to tip off the entire bill - it isn't necessarily fair for example restaurant A had exceptional service and the bill came to $25
Restaruant B had average service with a bill total of $65. Why should A only get $3.75 and B get $9.75

Also tip off of the amount before tax.

gifts - buy on sale and put away if you know you will have a particular person to buy for anyway. BOGO is a great time to do this. End of season sales too. Christmas time is a great time to buy board games for kids - dirt cheap sales.

grass - mow your own lawn instead of having a service do it. If you need to borrow edgers or blowers maybe you can barter with a neighbor to let them use your lawn mower.

gingivitis - prevent it by taking care of your teeth and gums. brush 2x a day and floss a few times a week minimum. gingivitis is a very expensive mouth disease to have - so worth the cost of a toothbrush, paste and floss!

grease - don't pour it down your sink drain as it will clog it up and need a plumber $$. Instead use an empty can (soup/bean/veggie) to pour hot grease into. You can put the can in the freezer until the next time and then once it is full you can throw it out.
