-When comparing different sizes of the same product compare price per oz. Some stores have it figured out already and labeled on the shelf.

-Stock up on canned pumpkin during the sales around Thanksgiving.

-You can make your own by gluing a picture from a magazine onto cardboard. Draw lines on the picture and cut out the pieces.

-Buy when in season for the best deals. You can can them to enjoy them in the later months.

-keep a price log in your purse. It's a quick reference for you to find the best price on groceries/household items. You write down the prices on certain items at different stores. This way you can also compare if a sale price at one store is the best deal.

-Some stores will honor the sale price from other stores. Walmart does this if you have the ad and they will patch generic price for their generic product. Saves on gas so you can shop at one spot.
