Ok, this couple gets married and they decide they are going to drive to Florida and spend their honeymoon there. Kissimmee seemed like a good location, so off they went. They drove 100s of miles and finally got to the city limits.

They pull over at a restaurant and as they do they begin to have a heated discussion about how to pronounce Kissimmee. Is it "Kiss-ah-me" or "Kiss-ay-meee" and on and on they go.

They order their food, and continue to argue. Finally the husband says to someone working there "Tell me nice and slow, how in the world do you pronounce this place?!"

I love this joke every time I hear it! I was raised in Orlando and had to deal with that mispronunciation of Kissimmee a lot. Same thing with Altamonte Springs, Wekiva and Micanopy. The list goes on.

I heard Al Roker mispronounce Kissimmee last week, as a matter of fact!
