Before I became a Mom...
I never tripped over toys, or had forgotten the words to a lullaby.

Before I became a Mom...
I never worried whether or not my plants were poisonous, or ever thought about immunizations.

Before I became a Mom...
I'd never been puked on, pooped on, chewed on, or peed on.

Before I became a Mom...
I slept all night, and had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.

Before I became a Mom...
I'd never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests, or give shots...or felt my heart break into a million pieces because I couldn't stop the hurt...

Before I became a Mom...
I'd never been so gloriously happy over a simple grin, or sat up into the wee hours watching a baby sleep...

Before I became a Mom...
I had never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down, or got up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to be sure everything was okay...

Before I became a Mom...
I never knew how something so small could affect my life so much, or make me feel so imporant and happy...

Before I became a Mom...
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby, or that I could ever love someone so much...

Before I became a Mom...
I didn't know how strong that "bond" could be between a mother and a child, or how it felt to experiance having my heart walk around outside my body...

Before I became a Mom...
I just never knew how much I would love BEING one...
