When I hear the national anthem I ------------------------------

When I hear the Canadian national anthem I stand really tall, shoulders out and sing along!

When I hear the U.S national anthem I cover my heart, stand tall (setting the example for the kids ~ We hear it every day at 5pm on base). If I am at a sporting event or I hear it at some kind of formal ceremony I ALWAYS get choked up and think about everyone involved in the war.

I also tend to think it's such an incredible anthem. It really does choke me up each time I hear it!

I get choked up, especialy if there is also a flyby involved. It's just so emotional and majestic!

I stand and cover my heart. If my kids are wearing a hat I ask them to remove it.

Yeah, I'm this way too. I sometimes feel corny that I get this way, but I just think how lucky we are to be Americans.

Am proud to be an American and wish so many singers would stop wrecking the song. My husband sings it to dd when she cries and it often stops her crying! He can't sing, either, which makes it even more precious.
