North Carolina and describes as a compound (Because the acreage with it will also include a house for my parents, one for my brother and a stable for my Dad....for horses- not for him to live in )

Santa Fe style, in maybe Sedona, AZ. Lots of space, no clutter, professionally decorated and very comfortable. It would include three maid bedrooms and have a cottage for the landscaper and two guest houses!!

I think mine would be either in the rockies with a huge country home, overlooking the snow cap mountains with acres for miles and miles around me and a small quiet lake within walking distance on my property. Maybe even have a small hobby farm outback. It would have a huge wrap around porch with a porch swing that creeks when it rocks. My kitchen would be hugely spacious with tons of counter space. Tiled floors and counter tops.

Open concept with a huge fireplace in the middle of the house that opens to the living room and the kitchen on both sides!!

The master bedroom would have a huge master bath, separate shower stall, bidee (sp), steam room, walk in closets for him and her......tiles throughout.

OR

My house will be in the south somewhere...maybe Georgia. I have always loved and felt like home in Georgia. Love the people too.
Same house but on a body of water, preferably a lake somewhere.

Torn between choosing a beach place somewhere on a North Carolina beach or a lake house. Big enough to host large groups, yet cozy enough when there's only a few people. I'm open to the design aspect, because I know what I like now will absolutely change (looking back at my last 2 homes and all my design phases I've gone through). I do know that it has to have beach or lake access as well as water views from most windows. Boat dock or ramp also needs to be nearby. Other than that, I'm pretty flexible !

I always tell Dh that my house will be in the middle of nowhere, with a huge electric fence that will keep all family out!

Right now I would like a house in MN that can be described as a hobby farm. (That's what we want if our house EVER sells!)
