I started coming to Mommysavers in September 2001 when I had just moved to a new state, had an 18 month old and was very, very lonely in a very scary world post 9/11. I immediately felt at home and have stuck around for almost 6 years now.

In that time, my "mommy friends" as my kids call you all, have seen me through too many good times and bad times to list. I have had two more children and my life is in continual change now that I am progressing from preschoolers to school aged children, but I continue to learn a lot from everybody on this board. It is a place I can come for a laugh, a cry and so much more!

When I was admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery shortly after my third child was born in 2004, the first people I thought to ask for prayers and to let them know were my "mommy friends". Even though I have met very few of them (only 2!), you still see me through some good times and scary times no matter what. For that I will be forever greatful!

That was really good Claire! Wow I didn't know that you have been on here that long! Who are the 2 mommysavers that you met? Great job.

Claire only knew me online only and offered to open up her home to me and my family as we moved from PA to Pensacola, FL. On top of that, she graciously watched my baby (Our Yorkie Bella) for the entire time we were cooped up in a hotel house hunting (close to three weeks). Not just once, but twice she did this. A second time when we went home for the holidays. She really bent over backwards for a complete stranger...and I'm so glad that Mommysavers linked me to her. Without her help we would have be STUCK! Thanks Claire!

No problem! Stephen still asks when we are going to Oklahoma to see Bella. He also knows "Bella's Mommy", as you are known, is from Canada so he talks about you in school. He is one of the few that know a Canadian.

Anytime they see a Yorkie, my kids say, "That dog looks just like Bella!" She made quite the impact on our house when she was here and is a sweetie!

Plus, the thought of you having to give her away when you were moving - yeah, like I was going to let that happen!

Claire that was really nice of you & your family to do this for Christy & her family. Especially since the only way you knew her was on here. What a great friendship that has been formed on here! I am looking forward to meet some fellow mommysavers!
