How do you have yours set? I need to revise mine and I'm curious how others have theirs.

Ours is set at 78 from 7a to 7 p. From 7p to 7a, it's set at 74. I live in Texas with almost 100% humidity every single day, and the temps can get well into the hundreds, so this is optimal to keeping our house cool enough to live comfortably. I'm not going to sweat in my own home, and if it costs me a few extra bucks a month, so be it. lol. We can't open our windows due to this humidity/heat, but we do use ceiling fans. Our last electric bill was $132. Not bad, considering it's the heat of the summer here, and could be double that, easily, if we let it.

Ours is set at 76 from 6 am to 10 pm and 74 from 10 pm to 6 am. I live in South Texas. We have a two story house and keep our ceiling fans on all the time.

I have settings for a/c and then settings for heat...
In the hotter summer months, it's set at 82 during the day (5AM to 8PM) and then from 8PM to 5AM it's at 76. A lot of times though, if it's not humid, even if the temps are high outside, I turn the a/c off because I prefer fresh air...but if it's humid, I have to run the a/c.
In the wintertime I have the heat set at about 68 during the day and then at night we let it go all the dawn to like 50 degrees.

Our programable thermostat was a waste of money.
We always leave it at the same temp.
76 in the summer on A/C
66 in the winter on Heat.
My husband tracked our costs and found it added about $20 to our heating bill in the winter but the house was so much warmer because we no longer had any cold spots all over the house.

Since there is someone home usually all day, we keep our temp at 78 degrees in the summer, day and night.
In the winter, we set the temp to 72 during the day and 68 at night. Once the kids are a little older and will actually keep their blankets on, I will start setting it to 62 at night.
Our a/c is off right now, since it is only 55 degrees out this morning. It will probably stay off for the rest of the year, unless it gets above 88 outside.

I tried using the programmable part once or twice, but it really wasn't worth the effort. We keep our air at 80-81 in the summer, but turn it lower if we're doing cleaning or something else that takes a lot of effort. I turn it up to 83 when leaving the house to conserve, which is not at a set time.
In winter, we have it 71-74. We simply don't need the programmable part.

Us too. Well, maybe more like 65 at night once the kids stay covered. We will set it to 68 during the day while everyone is gone, too. Ours is off for the season now too but we set it between 78-80 in the summer, if we actually have the air conditioner on.
