I found a great Deet free bug spray that we can use as a family but I use primarily for ds. It is called "Stop Bugging Me!" and it is by JASON. It is expensive, but I feel much safer using it. I don't even feel comfortable using the very low concentration of deet - especially on ds!!

That being said, we DO have to use the family deet stuff once a year when we are at my In-laws who live in a very rural setting with lots of bugs. Ds got so bitten up there once - and he's prone to bad bug bites - that we had to take him to the pharmacist to recommend something. So I will use that very very very sparingly on him but then wash it off immediately.

You have to apply the JASON spray more frequently, but I feel safer using it and can even put in in ds's hair (it's very short) because he gets bitten on his head a lot.

We don't usually get a lot of mosquitos in our area, so the "Stop Bugging Me!" works great here. I have a friend that brings it to all of our get togethers, but I haven't gotten any, yet. I was just using the Avon Skin So Soft, and it works pretty good.

Bumping this up. Looks like we're about at that time of year again.
