I have a wooden cutting board and clean it with vinegar after each use. It gets a scrub w/baking soda and vinegar for long term cleaning.

I also have a small plastic one but I rarely use it. I do put that one in the dishwasher.

Btw, thanks for the book recommendation. I will look for it.
