Anyone use this? I was reading a green cleaning book mentioned here- Clean house, Clean planet by Karen Logan and she mentions using this and also castile soaps in her cleaning recipes. Anyway I bought some at the Natural foods store- only to come home and it has Sodium Lauryl Sulfate in it. I am a little surprised and can't believe I didn't read the label- but with all the bad press this stuff is getting- am I the only one surprised it is in there? The Dr. Bronner's castile soap doesn't have SLS in it. Now I am debating on just using it or returning it to the store. I currently have other soaps/shampoos in the house with SLS in them- but I am in my "use them up" mode and then when they are gone- going back to using my shampoo bars. I know this stuff is probably milder/ better than normal regular cleaners- but does it work better than some of the other cleaners that don't have SLS in them? Thanks!

I use this, but I've only used it as a laundry aid, to help get stains out, or to soak clothes in that have gotten a bit pink orsomething. I know you can use it for other things, but I've never borthered, sicne I don't really know where to get more when it runs out, and I admit, I like my normal cleaning products.

Thanks Sun- I may just keep it and use it and see how it goes. In the book- there were many cleaning recipes using this. It says you can use it on floors, counter tops- basically everything. I think my post sounded confusing- with all my talk on shampoos. I will have to try it on some stains- it is nice to know I can use this if my regular methods fail. I just got it at the local natural foods store- but I don't think I have seen it elsewhere. I am just trying to go more green with my cleaning- I think I am getting sensitive to all the harsh chemicals I have cleaned with in the past. My mom has COPD and I am amazed at what she will spray around her house to clean- but yet she can't stand the smell of some fragrant air sprays- she can clean with things like CLR. I am trying to find some stuff more natural here that really work and them pass them on to her.

I did not realize Sal Suds have SLS in it either. I use the castile soap all the time- love it! I'll have to keep that in mind. Thanks!
