Has anyone tried these shampoos? I've only heard one person talk about it, but they love the bar shampoo. Also, they have a huge customer comment page on their website, and obviously, it is filled with great comments.

J.R. LIGGETT: Old-Fashioned Bar Shampoo and Body Care Products

It sounds interesting and very "travelable"...if that is a word.

I might buy some to add to my no-poo routine. Although it is shampoo, I would use it once, no poo twice, and rotate.

I have one of their bars. I got the regular one- although they all smell super good. I also have a Burts Bees rosemary mint shampoo bar. I love it. I use it occasionally as I am currently trying to use of my stockpile of other shampoos. I do use a bit of conditioner everyday or every other day depending on how my hair felt afterwards. I notice when I use this more consistently I don't need to use hairspray. I can't wait until my stockpile is gone- I have about 25 bottles of stuff that I am using and trying to give away to family and friends. I got my JR. Liggett shampoo bar at the local natural foods store- but I have also seen them at Whole foods- they have the best selection vs my dinky local natural foods store.

I forgot to mention how well it lathers up. I just run it under some water and run the bar on my hair- it lathers up better than my bottled shampoo!

I haven't used this particular brand, but I use Burt's Bee's baby shampoo bar for my kids! I love it - it lathers up very well, rinses nicely and smells yummy.

Vioburn, great idea about the "travel-ability" of the bars! We'll be traveling in a couple weeks and now I'll remember to pack the bar shampoo.

I went to Whole Foods and found the original bar, so I bought it. It's not expensive at all, around $5.50. The first time I used it, my hair looked a little stringy, but not dull. Also, it helps with the flakes. The second time I used it (2 days later), my hair looked GOOD, dare I say GREAT? And less flakes, again! DH even commented on how great my hair looked and he is such an honest man... he said that it had started to not look very good lately (I'm sure it has to do with my no-poo routine, but started before I went to the no-poo), but that with this shampoo bar, it was looking really healthy. I think I'm hooked, but I haven't had it a week yet, so I'll have to let you know how I feel in a week or two. I should post pictures. I'll try to find one of my hair before and after.
