Does your grocery store do anything to incentivize customers to use their own bags?

Whole foods used to give you either 5 or 10 cents back, but now they donate it to some charity, instead. None of the other stores give incentives, that I am aware of.

They don't offer incentives, but they did have some nice reusable bags, so I bought them for 99 cents each.

$0.03 a bag - but I'm not sure if it's on any bag or just there's. I bought the bags from them.

I do the bulk of my shopping at Aldi's and Sams. You have to bring your own bags to Aldi's and I don't use bags for Sams. HyVee does not have any kind of incentive. I always take my bags back to the recycling drop off though.

Around here all grocery stores give 0.05$ per bag. More & more stores are doing it (drug strore, liquor store, etc.)

shoprite here gives you 2 cents. I know I should do it for free but with 2 kids, just getting to the store is enough of a project, let alone trying to remember to bring bags!

Last week Cub foods had their tote bags for $1, they might still, I am not sure.

They used to (maybe still do) sell cardboard boxes that you reuse--I know you get a credit every time you use them--for each box.

I do use paper bags sometimes when I shop--I have to use them for my recycling--so they are getting recycled anyway.

They used to offer .03 a bag but stopped a few months ago. Now they are selling .99 bags at the checkout. It appears that they've sold out since the racks for the bags have been empty for 2 weeks.

I don't think it is a hassle to bring tote bags along. I keep them in the back of my vehicle next to the stroller. I feel good about teaching my girls to bring your own bags. My oldest has a little princess bag she carries.
