Maybe I have just never noticed these before, but they sell re-usable produce bags at Whole Foods! Just thought I'd mention it in case there are others, like me, who feel terrible using so many plastic bags in the produce department!

I was yakking with a friend who I happened to run into at Whole Foods, and didn't look at the price! They just caught my eye as we were talking and by the time we finished chatting (45 minutes later!!!) I'd forgotten all about the bags.

They look like the mesh bags that a turkey comes in ... like that plastic mesh? Although I don't know if they are actually plastic - they could be another material.

I will look again next time I am there. I haven't bought them yet... I have to pace myself with the expensive items at Whole Foods! When I was there last, I bought raw almond butter for $16.99!! OUCH dh almost had a stroke! (He then informed me TJ's has the non-organic version for only $5.99, so I felt like a schmuck!)

There is a Whole Foods by where my dh works and while i think the store is cool, it is SO expensive! However what we did buy was very good (freshly ground almond PB was the best)! I can completly understand pacing yourself there

His work is rather far from home but that might be an errand I will have to get him to do after work one day if they are not too high priced.

I bought some bagged onions for the bag more so than for the onions. (Apple bags work well too!)

Carfully cut a hole in the top of your bag and you have a reuseable produce bag.

Save the twist ties (plastic disk ones) from bagged bread and you are good to go.
