Some of these are for kids, but fun nonetheless. Borrowed from Grinning Planet. Difficulty levels, ratings, and comments are those of Grinning Planet. Clean Funny Cartoons / Environmental Issues ... on Grinning Planet

EcoKids Energy Quiz
Difficulty Level: 6 (10 is hardest)
Format: Flash
Automatic Scorekeeping: No
Overall Rating: A
This quiz on energy is designed for kids but still has a few tough questions. Very nice design and user interface, with additional info/explanations right after the answer click-thru. Our only complaint is that it could have been longer!

British Science Museum: Energy Quiz - Energy | Start
Difficulty Level: 7 (10 is hardest)
Format: HTML
Automatic Scorekeeping: Yes
Overall Rating: A
Comments: A bit Brit, but a very nicely done energy quiz, with informative pop-ups and some fun things for you to get sidetracked by.

Energy Star Lighting Quiz - Lighting Quiz : ENERGY STAR
Difficulty Level: 7 (10 is hardest)
Format: HTML
Automatic Scorekeeping: Yes
Overall Rating: A-
Comments: This quiz thoroughly covers energy issues as they relate to lighting, with good explanations after each question.

BBC: Renewable Energy Quiz - BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Quiz: Renewable energy
Difficulty Level: 9 (10 is hardest)
Format: HTML
Automatic Scorekeeping: Yes
Overall Rating: B+
Comments: This quiz on renewable energy is tough but has interesting questions. Answers and brief explanations are provided at the end.

LearnAboutEnergy.org: Energy Whiz Quiz - Energy Quiz - Secondary Level
Difficulty Level: 2 (10 is hardest)
Format: HTML
Automatic Scorekeeping: Yes
Overall Rating: B
Comments: An interesting quiz format—clues instead of questions. Definitely for "energy quiz beginners."

U.S. Deptartment of Energy: Energy Kids Page - Energy Quiz
Difficulty Level: 4 (10 is hardest)
Format: HTML
Automatic Scorekeeping: No
Overall Rating: C+
Comments: This quiz is OK in terms of content, but it has a bit of a clunky interface. (Clicking on the answers takes the user to a page that only tells you whether you were right or wrong, but offers no additional information. To get that, you need to click on the "find the answer" link for the question.)

Activities for ESL Students - Energy Quiz Science Quiz - Energy Quiz
Difficulty Level: 6 (10 is hardest)
Format: Flash
Automatic Scorekeeping: Yes
Overall Rating: C+
Comments: A decent little energy quiz, but no additional information is provided for right or wrong answers, some of the answers (choices) were truncated in the display, and the "correct" notification was almost too fast to see!

Quiz Tree - Renewable Energy Sources and the Environment Energy - Renewable Energy Sources and the Environment (quiz 1)
Difficulty Level: 5 (10 is hardest)
Format: Flash
Automatic Scorekeeping: Yes
Overall Rating: C
Comments: Not a bad quiz on renewable energy topics, but there's no additional information provided for right or wrong answers. Also, picking a consistent the chime scheme for "right answers" and "wrong answers" would have been a better idea than the random sounds.

Roaring 40s - Wind Energy Quiz Roaring 40s - Energy Quiz
Difficulty Level: 8 (10 is hardest)
Format: HTML
Automatic Scorekeeping: Yes (but it doesn't work right)
Overall Rating: C
Comments: This energy quiz is somewhat Australia-centric, but it's interesting. One complaint: They don't have the questions repeated on the answers page, which makes it hard to follow the explanations.
