This is an interesting article, Kim. I was happy to hear about the high resale value of "green homes" today, and that they tend to sell more quickly on the market. Hopefully, this will be a trend that becomes standard someday.

And I learned something about VOCs from this article. I didn't realize that chemicals from paints, stains, and glues in your home could be released for YEARS!! I always thought that once they dried, that was the end of the pollutants being released into the air!!

There are so many options and each one has a different benefit amount. And thankfully, our choices are our own based on our own needs and desires. What makes sense for me might not for others.

We are building passive solar. That isn't that much more than traditional construction. A little more for being tighter and more expensive windows. And loads of other choices don't add much, if any.
