Well the way I used to use them was threw the shelf checkout. Well they took the shelf checkouts out at are walmart. And now I don't know how to use them. I tryed one time, I told the women that I wanted to use my reausable bags, and she barely put anything in them, then started useing plastic bags. I neede some help here.

I'm amazed at how many people are having problems with cashiers and shopping bags. I guess, at that point, what I would have done - in the middle of everything, is rebagged the items myself and let the cashier watch what I was doing and give her back her plastic. I wouldn't have been nasty about it but I think (hope) it would have gotten my point across. Like I said, I really am just amazed at the trouble people are having. It really has never been an issue for me.

It's too bad, but you are going to have to just speak up next time and tell the cashier to fill up your cloth bags as full as possible. I think at Walmart, they have their system and it is so easy to use the plastic bags that are hung up on the spinner. You are the customer and really, they are saving money from their shareholder's if they save as many plastic bags as they can.

I usually take the proactive approach. I smile and say, "I brought my own bags. I don't mind packing them myself if it makes it easier." That way I can cram as much as I like in there.

Cashers are just not helpfull, are just don't want to take the extra step. Lol, that is what I did. I was it nasty about it at all, I just filled the bags more, and handed her the plastic ones. She was nasty about it though, she had a dirty look and threw the bags on the floor next to her.

And the people behind me were not very happy because it took me alittle extra time to fix the bags, since she did't do it right. So since then I have it used them because it is to much of a hassel.

I just don't think I should be having to rebag it though. I like to watch the items ring up so I know it scaned right, and I also comp things, which is a hassel for most cashiers to do. It just makes me so stressed out at the checkout.

I actully did say that more chould go in when she was getting ready to hand over a bag. And I think just because I said something she did it want to do it.

It is a shame that so many retail workers act the way that they do. Half of the time the cashier doesn't even acknowledge me until they get my total. And it isn't just at Walmart, it is everywhere. No one takes pride in their jobs anymore.

Can you try to just put all your stuff unpacked back in the cart (after they rang it up of course ) and then just bag it yourself once you paid and are "out of the way"? I guess it also depends on how much you have...

I usually tell them to scan it and hand it to me. It works and they even smile at you.
