Name the kind and how many miles per gallon it gets (you may have to google it to find out). Let's see how low can we go. I think we have some hybrid drivers on Mommysavers too. That will be fun to see the miles / gallon.

30 miles per gallon city
35 highway

(And today gas is $5.07 a US gallon here: $1.35 a litre)

95% of my driving is highway, and even though the fuel economy website says i should only get 26 city and 34 hwy, i DO get an average of 35 on a tank of gas....very weird, but i do the math every time, and that's what i get.

I get about 17 city, and 21 hwy. On an average week where I have a mix of city and hwy, I get about 20 mpg. My car automatically calculates it every time i fill up my tank.

My dh has a 2002 Chevy Cavilier that he uses for commuting. He said he gets more than 30 mpg, not bad for an old paid off car with 220,000+ miles on it. Our 2006 Grand Caravan gets mid 20's. Not too shabby either. It does not go nearly as many miles though.

I just checked my stats on Fuel Economy.

I have a 2004 Honda Odyssey. The website says:

MPG (city) 16
MPG (highway) 23
MPG (combined) 19

I'm usually driving all city miles (kids to/from school plus short errands) and I'm getting 14-15 mpg . Less than what the website said, but not by much.

DS has a 2005 Lincoln LS and drives almost mostly highway miles. His stats are:

MPG (city) 17
MPG (highway) 24
MPG (combined) 20

I don't agree as he's actually getting about 16 mpg. Not much better than me and he has a smaller car with one person.

We're keeping both cars though. My van is paid off and DH's Lincoln is almost paid as well.

Yes! My hubby looked for months to find one at a decent price. The dealership knocked $2,000 off because we paid cash.
