Do you have advice for shopping at Target?

What are your top three favorite Target Brand food items that you frequently buy?

Is there anything there that you can usually get for free?

****My advice is shop on the back of the aisles-that's where they hide the clearance.

****Check out their Target WEB Coupons-you can pair them up with Manu. Coupons.

****Check your coupons-if they DO NOT say (except trial sizes), hope on over to the trial size and use it. Some things I buy with coupons from the trial size section are: KOTEX pads, Almay Eye Cleaning Pads, and Tide-(NOT TOTAL CARE).

I always check the endcaps; sometimes they have nice gourmet type items marked down way cheap. I buy the Target brand canned beans and tomatoes, also their imitation crystal light is very good. Tuna fish pouches are also good, but lately brand name has been cheaper! Really I have been pleased with all of the Target brand stuff; but keep an eye out because a lot of the name brand stuff is cheaper with a coupon there!

I had no idea you could pair the coupons! Thanks for the heads-up!

Their private label, Archer Farms, was actually developed to have an upscale feel - kind of like their other private label branding strategies with Michael Graves, Mossimo, etc. I don't think they compete on cost, but rather on quality. Their Market Pantry line is more budget-conscious.
Target brands feed profits

Here is a link to their coupons and weekly specials:
Target : Grocery : Coupons + Weekly Store Specials

We don't have a Supertarget where we live, so our selection of groceries is very limited.

The first thing that came to mind was to check the expiration dates and the amount items are rung up at the cashier. Two weeks ago I almost sprinted when I saw that the apple slices I buy for the girls's lunches were $1.99....then I checked the expiration date and they expired 3 days ago. I told the lady she should be giving these away to a homeless shelter instead of trying to sell them. Organic milk was going to expire in 1 day last week.

Now they were very good about correcting the prices when a box of apples and a pumpkin rang up wrong (I would have been out $3.00 if I wasn't paying attention).

-My girls like their drink pouches.
-They frequently have great deals on boneless skinless chicken.

I love their diapers! I think a big box of them is like $14.00 or so. They are cut nicely and stand up to leaks really well. Really helps with almost two kids in diapers! Their maternity clothing fits really well too...and not badly priced!

I actually find their Target brand food items pretty bad overall. I stuck my neck out and tried a few things, and they didn't compare at all to my regular brands. JMO Just depends on the individual. So I don't buy any of the Target brand food items any more.

I shop the endcaps religiously and I always have my price book, which is my advice for shopping at any store actually. You can know at a glance how much something is, per oz or lb, and compare prices. It's a lifesaver to me. That and my calculator.

Target is usually serious about clearancing things. I love the endcaps with marked down stuff.

I also shop their add and use coupons to make my money go further.
