Do you have any tips for shopping at Giant Eagle?

Do they have a discount card?
Do they mark-down meat? When?

What are you top three store brand items you buy there?

USE COUPONS! They double.

They have a GE card-sign up for that.

They do mark down meat-get there asap in the morning. I think it just depends as to when they mark down. They do not have day old bread. My GE donates to a local food bank.

Some of the valu time items are pretty good. I regularly buy graham crackers, manderin oranges, some other canned goods--especially to be used in casseroles or whatever. We do NOT like their mac and cheese. GE brand can be pretty decent as well.

Good luck!

They do have a shopper card, which I use. I don't use coupons, so I'm not sure what their policy is on those. They do mark down meat, but I'm not sure if they do that on a regular schedule. They have good deals on meat frequently.

I don't buy any store brands...in any store. So I can't help you there...

You can get some things pretty cheap with their card and coupons. For instance, they are currently running Chex cereal 4/$6 when you buy 4. Combine these with coupons that were in some recent papers and you can get them for $1/box!

Coupons are doubled up to $.99

Every $50 you spend in groceries (excludes milk and tobacco products), you get $.10 off in gas at their GetGo gas stations.

Buy gift cards there to earn extra fuel perks. $.20 off a galon of gas for every $50 you buy.

As for the meat sale-it just depends on when the meat is expiring. They normally have $1-$3 off meat coupons attached to the meat within a day of the sale by date.

GE products are pretty good however you can get name brands when you combine sale prices with coupons. I normally don't buy valu time unless it will be in something that the flavor can be covered up.

You can find marked down meat pretty regularly at my store....but I find it best either early morning or later, like 6(find out what time your meat dept closes..usually they put the last of the mark downs out before leaving)

I dont buy much store brand stuff because I usually get better deals w/sales+coupons.......but dh does love the ge brand small cans of bean n bacon soup.(and I know there's a few other things I just can't think right now)
