I tried to stop buying coke...but then we just kept getting the 20 oz bottles of it when we were out. I finally realized it was more cost effective us to admit our addiction to caffiene and buy the 12 pk or 24 pk .....

Now, I have started doing coke rewards and getting coupons for $1/12 pack. I use those in combo with my local grocery store sales and can usuallyget a 12 pack of coke for $2

Not really - there are some things that I don't buy as often as I'd like, but we manage to do without them when they're too expensive.
There's a local vintner who makes the yummiest wines - blackberry, cranberry, and muscadine are our favorites - but it's $9 a bottle, which, while it's not a bad price for a nice wine, just isn't always in the budget. Don't even suggest something like Boone's Farm as a substitute - comparing Amato's to Boone's Farm is like comparing prime filet mignon to week-old bologna.
I've tried buying extra bottles when we have extra money, and saving them for later when we don't, but somehow they never seem to last.

I am a tea drinker -- I can handle anything this world has to throw at me, just as long I have a cup of tea (with 3 sugars and a splash of milk) in my hand when it is all going on.

coffee would be my downfall and i guess along with coffee I really love the flavored creamers. I used to buy the top of the line coffee (green mountain, or starbucks) but then I switched to the big canisters of Maxwell house or Folgers to save money. Hey, with the flavored creamer you can't even tell the difference.

i don't think i'm ever going to stop buying coffee. i'd rather than drink coffee than eat. sometimes in the morning if i only have time for one thing, i make coffee as opposed to breakfast.

god, i'm addicted.

Coffee comes from coffee "beans" - so you could say it's a vegetable.
Coffee "beans" are actually berries, so you could say that it's a fruit.

Therefore, coffee is part of the fruit/vegetable food group, and is part of a balanced diet!
