Default Are you really selective about where you get your produce?

I know I am. I will only get it at hy vee here. Walmarts goes bad to fast(becuase they get so much in) Fareway also goes bad fast for whatever reason. I get it at the farmers market when at all possible.

So do you get your produce at a certain place?

We are going straight to the farm this year for our produce. We are getting a share of the crop.

Yes, I try to only buy produce at a fruit & veggie Market that is not a chain. The produce is cheaper, fresher and lasts longer. They have a great deli with meats & cheeses half the price of the grocery chains. They also sell a lot of ethnic foods, which is great because I like that kind of food. I don't like the produce at the grocery store that is walking distance from us. It is expensive & the product doesn't last (even the garlic cloves get moldy!)

Usually. I mainly get mine at Meijer, but hope to find a good local farm stand soon. I don't like it from Walmart. Kroger has great fruit and veggies, but they are usually too expensive. I get it at Aldi ocassionally.

During the summer I buy everything I can at our Farmers market or corner stands. I only buy at Kroger and then walmart, during the winter or just when I have too!

Yes, I usually try to only buy our produce at Trader Joes. When we lived in California I had an awesome farmer's market in the summer only ten minutes away but I haven't found anything like that yet here.
