Did you know, most stores will give you money back if you recycle your bags when you shop. I know Shoprite will give you back .02 for every plastic shopping bag you reuse when you shop there. They give you back .05 for every reusable (green) bag you use.

Do any other stores have this policy as well??

I reuse mine at home. I try not to get too many. Smith's (Kroger) will give you 5 cents for using reusable bags (or reusing plastic bags).

Any plastic grocery bags we get (which isn't many) go straight to the recycling bin. Otherwise we bring our own bags to the store. Dillons gives .05cents for every bag you bring in to use so it is like extra coupons.

Kroger's gives $.03 for recycled and/or cloth bag you use. One cashier even gave me the credit when I said that I didn't need my milk or Capri Sun boxes in bags. I'm not very good about remembering to take bags with me. I do recycle my grocery bags by using them in my kitchen trash can instead of buying trash bags. I means...theoretically...that my trash gets emptied more often since it's a small bag.

We reuse them.
Grocery store bags line every garbage can in our house. I've never bought small trash bags. We also use them to store produce from our garden and orchard and to package produce to share with friends and neighbors.

I wish our local grocers gave us credit. I just use them around the house to recycle them.

I use them to bundle up recycling, collect sm amts of trash around the house...stuff like that. I wish our store offered a program for them.

I reuse mine in the small trashcan in the garage and to pick up dog waste in the yard.
