How do you organize your grocery list? Do you hand write it each week, or do you have a computer print out that you use weekly? Do you keep note of the coupons you have on your list or do you just remember the ones you have and verify them once you are at the store?

I have a computer print out that I keep updated with the change of the season and the change in taste of the family. I keep track of how many of each item I need and just write cpn next to the item to remind me I have a coupon so to double check what is required for the use of it.
I also take a copy of my menu with me just to double check myself, I hate having to go back to the store because I forgot something. I take the current store flyer with the specials circled that I want to check out and possibly get.
I try to always shop alone. Monday my teenage daughter came with me and totally distacted me and then my dh showed up for a few minutes as he was driving by the store an seen me there and that was even worse.

Since we don't meal plan and seldom have coupons for the few brand-name items we use, that part of it isn't an issue. On the rare occasion that we have coupons, we paper clip them to the list.
We have a dry erase board in the kitchen, and when either of us notices that an item is getting low, or uses up the last of something, we write it down there. When one of us is going to the store s/he copies down the items on the board. We keep our few coupons on the fridge with a magnet, so that we will remember to check and see if we have a coupon for any of the items on the list.
Since some of the items we buy are only available at certain stores, we tend to group items on the list by which store we plan to get them from. That makes it easier to plan the trip for minimum gas usage.

This is similar to what we except I have a notepad that is a magnet so it stays on the fridge for list making. That way we can just take the top sheet off to take to the store. I keep all the coupons in my wallet and just refer to as needed. I'm looking for a better way to organize these. I also shop the sales so when the sale ad comes out I make a list of what I would like to get at the store and add that to my list of what is needed.

I have a master list in order by aisle in Excel. My menu plan is a tab in the same spreadsheet. I do a weekly menu plan and adjust the list for my weekly shopping. I write the list on a scrap of paper. It saves a little printer ink and energy. Then, I write my menu and put it on the fridge.
I can't usually find many coupons that work for me either.

Mine is in excel too.
I write a c and highlight it when I have a coupon. I also have certain things that I buy at certain stores. They have their own sheet.

organize??
I add to a list on the fridge as I need things, or as I menu plan. I pull out coupons I'm going to use and put them in the front of my coupon holder. Sometimes I write them on my list.

I have a magnetic list on the fridge where we add things we want or run out of during the week.
On Tuesday (my grocery shopping day), I sit down and decide the meals for the next week. I add the items I'll need to the list. When I have everything I need, I rewrite the list going in order of my grocery store. I can tell you were most things are in the store so I write it out in the way I tackle it. (pop/milk area first, up to the fruits & veggies)
Then I go through my coupons and pull out any that I need for the items I already have. I then put a small C with a circle around it next to the item on my list.
I put the coupons in a small envelope and paper clip the list to the envelope.
As I'm going down my list, if I get to an item with a coupon I'll pull it out and decide if I can use it. If I can, I paper clip it to the other side of the envelope so I remember to give it to the cashier (and so I don't lose them). If I decide I won't use it I'll put it in the back of the envelope - or maybe leave it for someone else.
I only have an hour and 15 minutes at the store between dropping off my oldest at school and having to pick up my middle son. I have to be quick and efficient to get the job done and pretty much stick to my list so I'm pressed for time. This is the system that works best for me so far!

I have a list on the fridge organized by topic. I go through my coupons (that i have WAY too many of) before I go shopping and redo my list by aisle and clip my coupons. I am trying to convince DH to drop me off at the store so I can price match etc, we will see if he does that today..today is shopping day (its usually Monday dont ask!) i dont drive, so we ALL usually go, and with a 1 yr old and a 2 yr old that is crazy!
