Will you shop at a stop that has slightly higher prices to get good customer service?

I won't pay more to shop at stores that offer better customer service (especially the perks like taking groceries out to the car, etc) but I will stop shopping at a store that has poor customer service, even if they have the lowest prices. I can handle if my cashier isn't as friendly or helpful in one store compared to another, but if they are rude or inefficient that is unacceptable to me.

I will say, though, that I feel differently when I am shopping for things other than groceries - in most other cases I am willing to pay a little more for service, especially if it is a major purchase like furniture or electronics (not that I shop for those very often).

Yes...sometimes. I do shop at some locally owned food stores where their butchers and bakers are AWESOME and go to the ends of the earth to make you happy. So it's worth it to me, to pay a little bit more per pound for a certain cut of meat if they trim and tie it for me etc

As far as other things go...for clothes and shoes, yes, I do buy quality clothing and shoes and often it costs a little more. I find it looks better, wears better, lasts longer etc The customer service is just a perk on top of that for me.

This is me too. I like to shop at Publix because they do have good sales sometimes, but their customer service is awesome. I am usually only paying about 2 or 3 pennies more for most things. That price is worth it to me to know that I'm getting good service.

It just depends, as long as the service isn't awful, I shop where they have the best deals. For clothes, they have to be good quality, but not outrageously priced. 50% at a decent store, and 50% garage sale/hand-me-downs.
If I get bad service once, I will still shop there. Everyone has bad days. But if I get bad service alot, I don't go back.

Sily me, we are talking groceries. Still applies, bad service more than a few times, and I don't go back, no matter how good the prices are.
