How far would you drive for a good bargain?

5 miles, 10 miles, or more. When does a bargain not become a bargain because of time and gas?

I don't look at it in terms of mileage.
If it's worth the cost of the gas to get there, then I'll go. If it's in BFE relative to where I live, or if the savings isless than the cost of the gas, I won't.

I rarely go out of my way. If there is a store that is close to an errand I am running later that week I'll go then. If I miss the good buys then I miss the good buys. I have enough stockpile that I won't need to compare milage/gas vs cost/savings.

I would not even drive 5 miles for a good bargain!! We live in the suburbs with lots of grocery stores very convenient. The most I would do would go maybe three miles if one place was prohibitive as far as price. But I've had that not work for me either. I once went to a high-end grocery for green grapes because a discount store did not have them. They were so expensive that I then drove to Aldi to get them and they did not even have them!! I will now go to two places only and not waste time and $$ on gas driving and trying to find the best bargain.
