Do you think buying organic in the grocery store is worth the extra money you spend?

I have read that if you buy organic those 12 items with the highest pesticide content, you can eliminate 90% of pesticides from your diet. they are:

peaches
apples
sweet bell peppers
celery
nectarines
strawberries
cherries
pears
imported grapes
spinich
lettuce
potatoes

I keep this list with me when I shop and try to get organic versions of these products. I don't worry so much about produce that we peel (oranges, watermelon...) since most of the pesticide comes off with the peeling.

Yes, to produce, meat and dairy (at least hormone free).

No, to processed foods, like cookies, crackers and cereals. They are not bad to buy organic, but not absolutely necessary.

I agree.

I also buy things store brand organic to avoid HFCS.

Thanks for the list I have made a note of it and will keep it in handy next time I go shopping.
