Wednesdays, when I am off.

I go shopping with my best friend every Thursday night. We get our ads in the mail on Monday and our sales start on Wednesday. By Wed night everything is picked over or they ran out. But our stores restock on Thursday morning, so we go Thursday nights. Hubbies stay home and watch the kids (but our kids go to bed between 730 and 8pm, then after the hubbies play their video games or watch tv). Usually we eat dinner out together and then hit 2 or 3 stores depending on what we need from each store. If we only have a few things to get, we will go retail shopping instead of grocery shopping.

I DEFINITELY do better sticking to the budget when I only go grocery shopping once a week. I used to go whenever we ran out of a few things, but I always came home with a full cart of stuff and the budget was totally blown. Plus this way, I get to a household chore while having fun with my best friend and the kids get some alone time with their Daddy's and the Daddy's get some alone time after the kids go to bed. So it's a win-win situation for everyone .

i almost always go on tuesdays. tuesday and sunday are my days off during the week and i refuse to go on sunday, too many people. early tuesday after noon is great, very few people and new ads and coupons to use. either that or i'll go after work at like 9 or 10 pm any night

fridays..thats when all the flyer sales start here. longer lines but i do get what i want( most stores around here no longer do rain checks...once they are out thats it).

yeah I'm a winging it kind of girl also, I go several times a week.

Before having children, I would grocery shop on Wednesday's on my way home from work. Our store usually had special sales that either started or stopped midweek. And for some reason, the grocery store was always empty on Wed afternoons (except for Thanksgiving week of course).

These days I go whenever I can, but try to go some time between Fri & Mon since that's when the local markets switch over their sales.

I usually shop when I need to. But if I need to, I do it either on Wednesday or Thursday. I only do it if I have a big plan too so I will not waste any cash. I do not like the Friday, Saturday, Sunday crowds. They make me anxious and in a bad mood. I want to get in, get my stuff and get out. I dont like having to wait on 100 people because they had to go when I did to.

Sadly, I don't do very well sticking to one day. I generally shop after I drop hubby off at work. Once a month I go shopping with my mother-in-law to Sam's and a grocery store about a month away (it has great meat prices and she gets all her meat for the month)
