Did my regular shopping yesterday and I was VERY Pleased with what I bought for $56!
I got:

A bottom round roast,
1lb Stew beef
2 swiss steaks
3 lbs of chicken
3lbs of ground beef
2 5lb bags of potatoes
1 pepper
3lb bag of onions
2lbs of grapes
2 boxes Quaker granola bars
1 HUGE box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch
1 EVEN BIGGER box of Honey Nut Cheerios
2 bottles 32 oz Coffee mate
2 dozen eggs
4 loaves of bread
3 jars of Ragu
6 bottles of gatorade
2 bottles of apple juice

the boxes of cereal are the BIG boxes and they were on sale for 2.99. I got coupons off coupons.com for .55 and after they doubled them, the cereal was sO cheap!

The coffeemate was on sale for 1.99 EACH, and I had a $1/2 coupon, making a 32 oz bottle of coffee mate 1.49 EACH!!

The gatorades for .69 EACH, you can't BEAT that!! And we went through alot of that this week with everyone sick.

Bread has been locked in at .99 each.

Eggs were on sale for .99 each

Potatoes were 1.99 for a 5lb bag also!

I walked away with about 2 weeks worth of groceries for just about $56! I was very impressed with myself. LOL I thought for sure my total would be MUCH higher with all the meat I bought.

Thank you!!

But if I keep shopping like this, I'll never get to $300 for my free turkey. LOL

LOL! Honestly there's usually better deals out there than getting one free with such a high balance.

Usually our stores have $4 for a turkey under 16 lb and $5 for one over when you buy $25 worth of stuff AND (usually) you're allowed one of each of the deals per order. I can't tell you how many cheap turkeys I get in Nov. We almost fill one freezer each year. It's pretty much the whole reason we have two freezers.
