I only buy Great Value milk and butter, it is just as good as the name brand and so much cheaper. I also buy the store brand garnola bars and cereal bars because my children eat them like they are going out of style!

I buy store brands all the time but I must say I'm very pleased w/ the Spartan brand facial tissue. It's very soft & thick - like the higher end Puffs tissue - not thin and scratchy like some store brands.

I buy a lot of the pastas generic as well as milk, bread, ice cream, butter and rolls.

DH is VERY picky when it comes to name brand stuff. I grew up eating only generic so to me, there's no difference. But if DH sees a slight hint of a generic label, he won't eat it! I have to buy him Wonder bread because he refuses to eat generic! And don't get me started on anything whole grain! Heaven forbid!

I buy alot of Great Value products at WalMart, although we didn't like their cheese or cream soup. Food Club from Cashwise is awesome and so is Aldi's-I haven't found anything yet that isn't as good as the name brand. The only thing I haven't tried yet generic is Mac and Cheese and peanut butter, but they are next on my list!

GV mac and cheese, the thick and creamy in the red box. I add a couple of chunks of velveeta to it.

Kroger taco shells. I like to fry up my own but everyone else likes the crunchy ones and those are the absolute best. When I'm in the town that sells them I have to stock up.

HEB fruit spread. OMGoodness that stuff is good!! Problem is I live in Okla and HEB is only in Texas. I went to Texas twice last year and both times I made a 'jelly run', bought at least 16 jars each time so I'm set on jelly for a while

Great Value is the best! We use almost everything from Wal-Mart. I do have to say if you enjoy coffee....they have the BEST creamer (better than coffee-mate) and sweetner (the Equal generic).
