You all must be loving it!

I'm noticing that this is a GREAT time of year to stock up. Alot of the stores are offering sales on their 'cookout' type items, which means the grilling meats and all the fixin's.

I have spent about $400 in the last 2 weeks just stocking up, going to all the stores and BJs. My house is FULL, my freezer is PACKED, I can barely close the door. LOL But we are full up for the summer! I don't plan to shop like this again till about Sept!

Yep, I was holding out for a while and then this weekend did a stock up. Seemed like a lot of stuff on sale matched coupons this week too which was nice. I am thinking that I should be able to do only milk/bread/fruit runs for the rest of the summer. I had to hide some things from the boys though, or else they will eat it all at once. They don't get the idea of pacing themselves....lol

This is sooo true!! Don't you find that kids are happy with the snacks./cereal/insert whatever item here UNTIL you walk in with new grocercies than they only want the new stuff and won't touch the "old stuff" in the cabinets?!!! Drives me batty! LOL!

That is very true here. I fixed that by buying containers to keep the opened cereal in. When the container is empty we can open a new box.

My family and I just went to Costco on Saturday and stocked up big time on meat, cheese and some other frozen items. We may have to look at buying a larger freezer before Thanksgiving. (seriously)

I hope someone has a great sale on bread so I can stock up before school reopens!

I know I have been loving it. I'm waiting for the July 4th hot dog sale and hopefully that will last us for quite a while! (of course I still have memorial day hot dogs in my freezer, lol)

Usually the store brand breads are the cheapest, LOL thats what I ususally buy. Walmart WHITE Sandwich bread right now is 1.24 a loaf. I bought another 4 when I was in there last week.

I am really looking forward to the Kroger ad next week. Not only 4th of July savings, but also first of the month sales are usually pretty good too. I've been buying my bread at Aldi...they now have whole grain white bread, which is 1.29 a loaf. Compared to the Sara Lee or even Wonder whole grain white at $2+ per loaf!

Stockpilers! Is it safe to do this in my garage? I have a cabinet in the garage but the hot water heater is in a storage room off the garage. I am running out of room inside. I also need to know how long you stock up food items and how long you stock up on other items such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, shampoo, etc? any advice you can give would be appreciated.

thanks
