With the fresh fruit we can make a fruit bowl. Here is a recipe I use sometimes when I am having a party & want to be a little fancy:

How to Make a Watermelon Fruit Bowl

large spoon
melon ball spoon to make balls of fruit watermelon
Cantaloupe, strawberries, tri-color grapes
a large bowl

-Slice the top 1/4 of the watermelon off with a horizontal cut. Then scoop out the contents of the watermelon with a large spoon. Empty the watermelon of fruit so you may fill it with the mixture of cut up watermelon and other fruits.

-Cut some of the watermelon into chunks. Then also cut some of the watermelon into ball shaped pieces using the melon ball spoon.
-Put the cut up watermelon into a large bowl.

-Clean, destem and slice the strawberries up. Then add them to the fruit bowl.
- Next use the melon ball spoon to make balls from the honeydew and add it to the fruit bowl. Wash and add the grapes.

-Stir the fruit in the fruit bowl gently to mix it up. Then start to transfer the fruit bowl contents back into the hollowed out watermelon rind.

*Prepare the watermelon bowl a few hours before the party and refrigerate to chill the fruit.
* Use a variety of fruits; be creative and pick your favorite fruits.
*Allow enough time to cut up the fruit.
* If the party is outdoors cover the watermelon boat with clear plastic wrap to keep flies away.

COLESLAW MIX:

-For a dressing and I just normally go by how creamy we like it, but the ingredients are always: Miracle Whip, Sour cream, Celery Seed, Sugar and Milk. I don’t really measure any of this I go on taste but I always make sure that the Miracle Whip and Sour Cream don’t beat out each other in taste. Celery seeds enough to see them. Milk just gives it some added moisture about 4 tbsps. And sugar sweetened it a little 1/3 cup maybe.
-Mix the dressing together and add it to the coleslaw mix.
-Refrigerate a few hours before serving to incorporate the flavors.

What’s a great way to use the 18ct. Pack of eggs?!?! DEVILED EGGS and they are always a hit and so easy to make!

-For the main meal, throw them BEEF PATTIES on the grill, when done put them on your hamb. Bun, top with pickles, ketchup, mustard, whatever else you like.
Don’t forget to add that slice of AMERICAN CHEESE!

-Can’t forget dessert and with the already prepared FUDGE BROWNIES it’s a snap to get ready. Put a bar on a plate and add some VANILLA ICE CREAM. YUMMY!!!

Or

-If you want to go lighter just put a couple of scoops of the VANILLA ICE CREAM in a bowl and add some of the fresh FRUIT from the fruit bowl.

-And to wash this all down make up a pitcher of the LEMONADE! That will hit the spot on these hot, July days!!

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!
