I saw in the paper today that are attempting to expand to where I live, so if any of you shop there how are their prices compared to Giant Eagle which is who they would be competing with! Do they double coupons, have store shopper cards?

IMO their prices are competative with Giant Eagle - just depends on what you buy IMO. The do have a shopper card. I don't use coupons all that often, but they do take them. Do they double them? I have no idea! LOL! You can easily email or call and ask though...I'm sure they'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I actually find their meat and produce to be of better quality than my local Giant Eagles, so I shop at Acme almost exclusively (aside from Heinen's). I also find the employees to be nicer than Giant Eagle employees...I've just run across some really RUDE Giant Eagle employees and I just don't have the patience for that kinda stuff. LOL

Info on their savings card and they seem to answer some coupon questions as well...HTH.

Our Acme, I think alot of the prices are higher than Giant Eagle. They do accept coupons, but not sure if they double them or not. I've only ever found 1 or 2 things that are a really good deal there, but you need to have the shopper card.

Our Acme is a nice, clean store, but I don't buy much there because of the higher prices.

We went in once and didn't have a card, and got some things that were on sale and they rang up the regular price. My dh about keeled over with a heart attack.. ..the cashier said we needed a card. My dh didn't want to wait around, so I didn't get one then..

I think if you watch the sales, and use coupons, it might be comparable to Giant Eagle.

It's still to far to make a trip to at the moment but if they come in the area I was just curious.

I like Heinens I don't know why we don't go more often, they are honestly no more pricey than GE and I love their produce in the winter. Seems MUCH better quality to me!
