With the following recipes you can also use them on the bread and bagels.
There are alot of things that you can make with the featured items this week to make your kids lunchbox meals yummy.
With the chicken spread mix it with some mayo, diced celery & onion. Put it on a bagel with a piece of lettuce.
The big jars of apple sauce and pineapple can be put into individual containers at home for them to take. Instead of buying mini carrots, cut up the whole ones, it's a lot cheaper overall.
Now onto the recipes:
Turkey Roll-Ups
8 (8 inch) flour tortilla’s
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
¼-1/3 c. sliced, diced onion
2 tsp. buttermilk ranch salad dressing mix, dry
3 tbsp. salsa
8 slices of lunchmeat (turkey, ham, beef)
-In a med. Bowl stir together cream cheese, onions, salsa & dry dressing.
-Spread 2 tbsp. on 1 side of each tortilla. Then put 1 slice of lunchmeat on each tortilla.
-Roll up and put in a covered container and refrigerate until ready to use.
-Cut in 1 inch pieces.
Garden Roll-Ups
1 (8 oz.) pkg. garden vegetable cream cheese, softened
½ c. green onion, minced
½ c. red pepper, chopped
¼ c. chopped black olives
Flour tortillas
6 slices lunchmeat (ham, turkey, beef)
-In a small bowl stir together cream cheese, green onion, red pepper & black olives.
-Spread each tortilla with 1/3 of the cream cheese mixture.
-Layer with 2 slices of lunchmeat.
-Roll up tortilla and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to use.
-May cut into 1 inch slices.
PB & J Roll-Ups
Flour tortillas
Jam any kind
Peanut Butter, any kind
-Spread each tortilla with your choice of creamy or crunchy peanut butter and then your choice of jam or jelly.
-Roll up and refrigerate until ready to use.
-Leave whole or cut into slices.
