Does you grocery store mark down their meat? Mine doesn't. It's sad!

Yes, both our local Walmart and HyVee mark theirs down and that's just about the only way I purchase meat unless they have a special where the price is cheaper vs. mark down.

Our local grocery does not....Our Walmart does though. We used to have an Albertsons and they marked things down, but they went out of business.

Yes our local stores do Harris Teeter and Food Lion). So does the Super Wal-Mart.

We have had a Super Walmart for over a year, and I have yet to see them markdown any meat.
Our Meijers does, and so does our Krogers. I only bother if it is 40 or 50 % off. Sometimes it is only 20 or 30 % off.

Funny you post this! I was just at Sweetbay this morning, and I got a couple of good deals. And thought to myself, I will have to remember to go on Sunday mornings!

Safeway has a clearance meat section, there's usually a pretty good selection on the weekends when I go, they put a 30%-50% off sticker on it. The sticker is in addition to the card discount.
It's never chicken or ground turkey/beef, but I get good deals on boneless pork ribs, pork chops, steaks and sometimes roasts and breakfast sausages. Just yesterday I bought a pack of pork ribs, almost 3 pounds, for $3.25 (store card discount + 50% off sticker).

With our local Walmart it is normally in the morning and just about every day they have some type of meat marked down ranging from pork, chicken, beef and turkey.

Unless it's a great sale, I buy almost all our meat on markdown. I thought I had the pattern fof when the markdowns are put in the case figured out at my Giant PA store, but lately I haven't been finding much of a selection.
Kind of makes you wonder what the store does with the stuff that's not sold.
