I was at Target yesterday buying formula for DD and noticed that the grocery prices were relatively less than some of the supermarkets. The only problem is that it is not one stop shopping bc there is no produce.

Not really...I keep my eyes on the prices. Some things are cheaper at Target (reg prices), and then some things are definately not...I keep my eyes peeled, write things down and watch for sale items. I wouldn't make a special trip to go to Target to buy any food items, but I check things out when I'm there.

Same as Oregano- I always Look When I Am There.

I Actually am Going today for something and I will go - BEFORE I Grocery Shop - So If I Do see anything on My list and it is Cheaper , I will Buy it!

You have to Really Look , Cause Alot Of Times they have Canned corn , Juice Jello , Etc. that is On A deep Discount.
I Don't know If They are Necessarily Cheaper on everything , It Just Seems there will always Be a Random grocery item that is Way Cheaper.

I do, all I have close is Walmart or Target, Walmart is running a little more on the things I buy these days. Plus, even if it is more, it is a very pleasent experience compared to Walmart.

I agree with the other responses--you have to watch closely & know your grocery stores prices. We have a Super Target by us so they do have a full grocery section. There are certain things that I know are much lower there that I make a point to pick up when I do my Target run.

I watch the Target coupons--either on their website or that I sometimes get in the mail. You can get some good deals if you use both their coupon and a manufactor coupon.

I also check the prices on Target brand items. At ours, usually the Target brand instant oatmeat and sour cream and chicken nuggets are much less than at our Cub Foods.

I estimate most weeks I buy about 1/4-1/3 of our groceries there. =)

For everything that is much cheaper, there is something else that is much more expensive than my regular grocery store. You just have to know your prices. In general, the produce and anything fresh is more expensive at Target than at the grocery (but not always! cheese is usually more expensive at our Target but yogurt is a lot cheaper, for example).

I LOVE my SuperTarget! I have a Jewel directly across the street from my SuperTarget and I do most of my grocery shopping at SuperTarget. I save across the board on my favorite brands, plus the Target brand on many things is great quality and at a good price. The produce varies on quality and price, so I'll often pick up what's on sale and fresh. I've never frequented the deli or the bakery. Their selections seems a little limited, but that's just a guess. They have plenty of organic items and now have a small liquor section. Personally, I love the shopping experience: the deluxe shopping carts (to wrangle my 5 and 2 year old), very clean and well-organized and I can swing over to the "regular" Target side and pick up the kids' school supplies, cleaning supplies and paper products without making another trip.

if i'm there i will check out and see what the prices are and if i need anything.

i agree with the others some things are cheaper but definately not all things. you have to watch the prices i would never do all my shopping there. plus they do not carry alot of the things we buy either and ours is a super target.

I find Target to be cheaper on MANY items. Especially canned beans and vegetables (Market Pantry brand). I usually do some BOGO's at Publix, which I try to combine with coupons, and then fill in the rest from Target. Also, I love how Target marks down grocery items in their endcaps. I have gotten some nicer "gourmet" items that way, which makes some dinners more of a treat than our usual frugal dinners.

I agree with some of the other ladies, I buy some things while I'm there. I typically buy cereal and goldfish at Target.
