Tis the season to be thinking of gifts for Christmas. Tell us what you are making for friends and family. You may inspire others to give it a try!

Beings that I am not a crafty person at all , I always give friends and family baked goodies. I probably bake up between 20-40 batches of cookies, brownies, bars, candies and caramel popcorn to give out.

I'll be making a few of the movie baskets that someone here posted about. I'll get a big bowl for popcorn and fill it with microwave popcorn, some candy, and either a DVD or a giftcard to the nearest rental place. Thanks to whomever posted about these, it's a great idea!

That is a great idea! I did that last year for my soon to be FIL and filled it with a GC to the Movie Theatre and Sugar Free Candy.....he loved it! It is a great gift to give someone that you do not know as well.

I knit, so here are some of the things I will be making:

- felted bowls to catch little things, like paperclips and such.
- handknit socks for kids, DH, MIL.
- handknit scarf for BIL
- handknit coat for DD
- baby sweater, hat, socks for woman in my office who is having a baby in December

I will also be scrapbooking a photo album for my MIL (I do one every year).

If I have time, I will do one for my SIL as well.

Finally, for office gifts and school gifts - I bake or knit.

i am going to be making something I saw a couple of months ago in The Martha Stewart mag--tote made with pillowcases- if you look on her site it is under "sleeper of a bag". Look really cute and easy to make. Will be making for several friends and family makeovers

Great ideas, and thanks for the movie bowl popcorn idea w/gc. I think I will make a smaller version of this for the ladies I work with this year. I may be able to pick up some nice small plastic bowls at the Dollar Tree.:happy dance:
