I learned how to make most comfort foods and baking from my Mom (my Grandma and Great Grandma's recipes and traditional Swedish foods).

For everyday cooking, I learned a ton from a guy I was good friends with and dated for awhile in my early 20's. He taught me how to create good food without recipes.

From TV, I have learned a lot from Lidia and America's Test Kitchen on PBS. I also learned some from Rachel Ray. As annoying as she is, she taught me that it doesn't always have to be perfectly chopped or arranged as long as it's good.
