Can you freeze cooked brown rice? I was wanting to save it for soup or something like that.

Yes, I do this when I have leftover rice. Sometimes it gets a little dry or hard, depending on how long you freeze it for. It'd be fine for soup though.

Yes. The best way to freeze rice is to cook it up until it's NEARLY ready..just about 6-7 min shy of being completely ready. Then allow to cool, then package in freezer safe container and label. Allow to thaw in water or over the next day in the fridge and cook as you would minute rice

I freeze white rice. I put it in ziploc baggies and freeze. when I am ready to use it I toss it in the micro for a few minutes to thaw out and reheat.
