How do you make it?

I'm a cornstarch fan myself!

I use cornstarch when I'm thickening stuff like soup or a fruit glaze, but when making a gravey from drippings, I'd rather use flour.

1/4 c butter, 1/c flour plus drippings or chicken broth

I have always used flour.

But lately, my thing is to use cream of mushroom or chicken soup with a little bit of milk for gravy.

The other morning I crumble up a little bit of cooked sausage, in a can of cream of mushroom soup and added milk and pepper. Was sooo good over hot biscuits

Cornstarch first and then flour if I'm out of starch.

I always use flour...it's just how I was taught to make it.

Cornstarch or potato starch here. Can't use flour because of food allergies in my house.

Flour. Every time I've tried to use cornstarch, I've ended up with a non-Newtonian liquid.
