I just made taco salad the other day when it was like 98 degrees and 97% humidity. AAAHH, Indiana, the joys of having ALL four seasons in full force. I have been trying to use my crockpot a lot more to lower the heat when cooking. I even talked to dh about seeing if he would mind me putting it in the garage so that it is even less heat "in" the house. Sometimes it is just reheating leftovers or sandwiches!!

I BBQ but even being outside is just too much at times. Good luck.

A nice salad or fruit salad, chicken curry salad. Something easy and cool.

We eat dinner late during the summer. I wait till it's starting to get dark and throw something on the grill, since it doesn't heat up the house any. We live in Utah, and don't have ac, either.... It's still too hot outside to stand by the grill for anything major, but a few chicken breasts only take a couple of minute, and its better then heating up the oven.

Grill everything. Thow a sauce pan on there to heat up an canned veggies. You can bake potatoes on there. I am from a camping family. SERIOUS camping family. And we NEVER had ac growing up. The secret with the potato is buy new BIG LONG nails and stick thru the potato on the long end, wrap in foil and thro them in the coals, if you are using charcoal grill or just set them ont he gate if using a gas grill. The nail helps with even cooking.
