I wouldn't swap one for another...there's alot more spices in a cajun mix than a creole...so although some people think they're similar in taste there's big differences in ingr.(although both are on the "spicy" side)
Creole:
1 cup paprika
1 cup dried basil
1 cup dried thyme
1/2 cup cayenne
1/2 cup file gumbo
1/4 cup chili powder
Cajun:
1/4 Cup of salt
2 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
2 Tbsp. paprika
1-1/2 Tbsp. onion powder
1 Tbsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 Tbsp. freshly ground white pepper
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. dried thyme
1/4 tsp. ground mustard
1/8 tsp ground cloves
