When we were at my grandparent's for Christmas, my aunt said that she had this great new way to keep every batch of cookies no matter the kind soft, and not change the flavor.

She said that she simply adds the small box of french vanilla pudding (just the powder) to her dough before she bakes. You don't have to omit any ingredients and you can use whatever flavor you like. The french vanilla will not change the taste, however. She also said that chocolate works and will make the cookies more rich.

You bake as normal, then. I have tried it and it does work. Just like putting bread in to keep cookies soft. Try it!!!!

we were just talking about how some cookies stay soft better than other kinds

You can also put a slice of bread in the container to soften them!
