My MIL likes to do her Xmas shopping early. She bought me a KichenAid Mixer Stand Professional 5 series with the 5 qt bowl. I never thought I needed one until I started getting carpal tunnel in my hands making it impossible for me to put out the 150+ dozen xmas cookies I usually do. Well I just [i]had[i] to try it out and make sure it worked. It was refurbished so the warrenty is good for only 6 months. I mixed up a batch of Chocolate Chocolate Chunk Macademia Nut cookies... it took me a whole 10 min to mix up!! Last Dec it took me almost an hour to get all the ingredients mixed well by hand.

After hearing me rave about it for a half hr my MIL told me I could keep it as long as I relaize there will be an empty box wrapped up under the tree for me this year!!! I am so excited!!

Does anyone else have one of these? Do you have any tips or recipes to share? I am the only person I know who has one, all my friends think it's something only their Grandma would own. I think they will be envious when they see how easy and fast it is on Cookie Day this year.

I have the 6 qt and it's AWESOME!! I use it for anything and everything....cookie dough, cake batter, breads, mashed potatoes, whipping cream. I love the bowl lift feature....my old one had the flip top head and I didn't like that at all. You're right, it is nice on cookie day. I got an extra bowl with mine and that's been super handy, too. Enjoy!

If you have the dough hook you can knead your bread with it. Just put it on low for 5 minutes and it does all the work. I love my mixure and I dont care who thinks it for old ladies

Mine is Cobalt. I have a Yellow and Blue kithen with lots of cobalt glass on my shelves.

Everytime I go in the kitchen I look at it, run my hand across it and smile.

I feel like a guy who just got his first shiny new pick up truck. Instead of daydreaming about all the much and mud I can drive in I am dreaming up all the recipes I can make with it lol
