Do you have a certain brand you use? Do you think the cheaper spices are as good? My MIL works for Frontier Herbs so I'm lucky and get them free from her. I also really enjoy Cookies Flavor Enhancer--I use it instead of seasoned salt in recipes.

I use a mixture...I like Penzey's, I think they have a great selection and their spices are so fragrant. I wish I had a store near me!

Other than that, I just buy in the grocery store, italian market etc in the smallest container I can find, I'm not really brand specific. Otherwise I find that I'm just not using it up before it goes stale.

I used to buy whatever was cheapest at the grocery store. But the last time I needed spices I bought organic ones (I don't remember their name) but they were awesome.

I don't specifically stick with a certain brand - in fact I buy store brands whenever I can - or whatever is cheapest. That being said, I am kind of fond McCormick - their headquarters are north of Baltimore so it's kind of like rooting for the home team .
