Gas or electric ??????

we have electric........dh grew up with gas...and they all just swear it's the best...Ive cooked w/both and frankly it just doesn't really matter to me either way...

i have gas,I'm glad. I don't lik electric.

I was so excited when we moved we got a gas stove!

We have gas now. It was in the house when we moved in. I've always had electric up until now, and I still prefer it. DH likes gas better because it is what he grew up with. I always hear people raving about gas, and maybe it is just our stove, but it takes FOREVER just to boil water -- MUCH longer than with the electric stoves that I've used. I also have a slight fire phobia, so it just kind of freaks me out to have the open flames there.

I cook with gas now b/c that's what was here when we moved. Had electric in OH. I think the gas is much hotter & more even. So far, I'm liking the gas heat better.

We have electric. I have never cooked with gas so I am sure I could get used to it. My girlfriend has gas and she hates it.

We use gas. That's all I've ever cooked with. DH would prefer electric because that's what his mom and grandmother prefer. I just think it feels more natural to cook with fire than a coil.

My stove has an electric igniter (?) but when I was growing up we were able to cook and bake when the electric was out. In the winter this was great because we'd bake something up and help keep warm.

I have electric, but grew up with gas, which I prefer for the stove top. My electric oven heats up faster than a gas oven does. If I could have my way, I'd have a duel fuel (gas cook top, electric/convection oven) 6 burner Viking brand stove.
