Pasta with just butter or margarine, salt and pepper
pizza with your flour for the crust, sauce, and some of the cheese
beans on the tortillas, some more cheese if you have enough
rice mixed with beans

If you end up pawning for $, I'd buy some eggs and the cheapest pasta/noodles I could find, maybe a cheap canned vegetable or fruit that your child likes. I would not even bother with meat right now. You've already got the tuna and chicken, the beans and peanut butter have protein. If you have evaporated milk you can make mac and cheese with that, if you can find a couple boxes of that on sale cheap.

I have been there many times. I suggest making al ist of each meal so you don't ending using something for one meal that you could have used better in a different meal. You can get through this. Sending postive energy your way

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I do appreciate each and every one. And I did make a list of all the ingrediants I have, and then made out a menu for the next week, but I do have about $10 now, and last night DD and I talked about going to the store today and getting some carrots! (ha ha) She likes the way I make them with butter and brown sugar, so at least I know she'll eat those. I also plan to get some hamburger, so I can make her some "Crabbie Patties" this week, (with no cheese, as I'm out now), and a few potatoes to make some more mashed potatoes, because she WILL eat those, surprisingly. She won't eat eggs though, because she knows they were once baby chickens, which grosses her out. :hurl: How can I argue with that? But, if I have money I'll get a 1/2 doz. eggs so I can make french toast (sneaking in the egg there!), and she'll just have to eat them with powdered sugar on them. And I forgot that I had a 6-pk. of Weight Loss Shakes...so that'll be my lunches for this week!!

So the grocery list for today is: Carrots, a few potatoes, 1 lb. cheapest hamburger, and GV jelly. That should tide us over.

Again, I appreciate all your suggestions! Thanks for trying to help!
