I make cream cheese and salsa dip...yummy! You take a package of cream cheese and mix it with a small tub of sour cream (with electric mixer). Spread that on a plate, top with salsa, red and green diced peppers and shredded cheese. Serve with nacho chips. Some people also add cooked ground beef and diced tomatoes to it. It is a BIG hit when I take it to parties!

I also use cream cheese to make cherry cheesecake. Prepare 2 packages of Dream Whip, set in fridge. Mix one package of cheese with 1 C icing sugar, add to the Dream Whip and chill for a half an hour. Mix 2 1/2 C of graham wafer crumbs, 1/2 C of melted butter and 1/2 C brown sugar. Press crumbs into a 9"x13" pan. Spread the cream cheese/Dream Whip mixture over the crumbs and top with 1 or 2 cans of cherries. Let chill.

There is a bean dip that I make...just one of those 7 layer things....ground beef, cream cheese, refried beans, tomatoes, lettuce, shedded cheese, jalapenos....the cream cheese goes on the bottom, and then layer up the rest...put it in the oven for 20 min or so at 350 and you are good to go!! (oh you have to brown the ground beef first and add a taco seasoning).

Also, I love to spread cream cheese on a cracker and top it off with jalapeno pepper jelly...YUMMY!! My favorite snack!!

Mixed w/ spaghetti sauce it makes a nice cream sauce. Pour over ravioli.

There's lots of dip and dessert recipes. Try going to the philedelphia website. I bet they have tons of recipes.

How about my favorite dessert?

Frozen Peanut Butter Pie

Cookie Crust:
15-20 Chocolate chip cookies (name brand makes a big difference in taste)
1-2 tbsp sugar
2-3 tbsp melted butter

Combine and press into a pie pan. Bake at 375 for 10 mn. Let cool.

Filling:
1 8oz brick of softened cream cheese
1 cup confectioners sugar
2 8oz tubs thawed cool whip
2 cups peanut butter (name brand makes a big difference in taste)

Mix Cheese and sugar until smooth and add peanut butter, blend 3 minutes.
Reduce speed of mixer, add cool whip and blend until streaks disappear.
Fold into pie shell. Cover and freeze about 3 hours.

Optional toppings:
*Before serving I cover with a thin layer of peanut butter ice cream topping that has been warmed in the microwave for 30 seconds - do not put on the pie if it is hot let it cool a little first. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with Hersheys Syrup (optional)

Peanut Butter Sauce
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup light corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter

Combine sugar water salt and syrup, boil for 1 minute.
Let cool a few minutes
Whip peanut butter in with a wire wisk
Serve warm.
*Leftovers keep nicely in a freezer, warm up in a microwave, use what you need and return to freezer. This is excellent on ice cream

I love cream cheese on french toast. I use the texas toast thick sliced bread.
Make the french toast as usual, after the first side of 2 pieces is cooked I put on cream cheese sliced as thin as I am able to (I put on up to a 1/4 inch thick) onto one slice. It takes several slices to cover the bread, place the 2 cooked sides together finish cooking like a grilled cheese sandwhich.

DH likes butter and maple syrup, I prefer butter and Light Karo syrup. Confectioners suger too if we have it.
