I do not know how to do any jams or jellies, but I would love to be able to learn. Do you have any recipes/tips for the unexperienced jellie makers??

buy a box of sur-jel. The recipes are all inside. I think strawberry freezer jam would be a good one to start with. It's simple and doesn't require any special processing. I bought freezer containers years ago and am still using them. You can find them at walmart in a 4 or 6 pk for not very much.

Sugar, sugar, sugar.. Look for a sale and stock up.. There are lower sugar recipes but I stick to the real stuff.

Buy the sur jel before you buy or pick strawberries so you know how many you need..... I don't have any on hand or I would tell you.

good luck and feel free to ask me any question..

I really love homemade strawberry jelly, but I have never tried to make it. Thanks for the inspiration. I am going to try to make some.
