When do you or can you freeze it? Can you have the casserole in your fridge for 2 days then freeze the left overs or does it have to be right away? Also how do you do it? Just an air tight container or ziplocs for smaller stuff?

I am not the "Food Police" but I have a cooked casserole in the fridge and then in 2 days will freeze leftovers as "homemade tv dinners". I use the square containers.

However, you can not have cooked chicken in freezer -> thaw -> cook casserole -> refreeze. (chicken is just an example of meat)

You can have raw chicken -> cook casserole -> freeze. (once again chicken is just an example).

I would freeze it after in the fridge for two days.Actually I have .I freeze it in square freezer containers,ziplock bags or old plastic bowls.In the bowls I add the food cover it with a small piece of plastic add lid.This keeps it from getting freezer burnt and keeps longer.
